Rocky Mountain Regional Schollarship

This year SPE begins a new regional scholarship program that will compliment the scholarship program already carried out by the Calgary Section. Our section belongs to the Rocky Mountain Region, which also includes SPE sections in Rocky Mountain states such as Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. There will be two scholarships awarded yearly under this new program as follows:

• 1 undergraduate student scholarships valued at a maximum of USD 5,000/year, renewable yearly, for up to four years, and
• 1 graduate fellowships valued at a maximum USD 10,000/year, renewable yearly, for up to four years.

These scholarships represent a serious commitment by SPE to fund the education of deserving students who plan studies related to the oil and gas industry. The Rocky Mountain Region will be donating $60 000 per year once the program is fully implemented.

I encourage all members with children who are enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a field of study related to oil and gas to apply for the scholarships.
